Let's build a Deck!

So, this game requires us to build an archetype TCG-style. Each player makes a support lineup of 4-5 cards at a time, between 16 (4 waves of 4) and 30 (6 waves of 5). Once an archetype seems about done, you can then (in the same post that you finished the previous archetype) start a new one. The person who starts each archetype should provide some basic design notes if they want to keep it on any intended focus.

Our first archetype, Serprize, is an EARTH Reptile archetype built primarily around disruption, so their bosses can wreck house with your opponent's weakened board.

Serprize Manor
Field Spell
"Serprize" monsters you control gain 500 ATK and DEF. Once during your opponent's Draw Phase, while they conduct their Normal Draw: You can add 1 "Serprize" monster from your Deck to your hand. The first time a "Serprize" monster(s) is Normal or Special Summoned in a turn: You can place 1 "Serprize" monster from your Deck or Graveyard face-up in your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. You can only apply this effect of "Serprize Manor" once per turn.

Serprize Spring Cobra
EARTH - Level 4 - Reptile - 1100/1800
If a "Serprize" monster is Tributed: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Destroy that target. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, and all monsters you control (min. 1) are Reptile monsters: You can place this card face-up in your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. Once per turn, while this card is being treated as a Continuous Spell, you can Tribute 1 Reptile monster you control (Quick Effect): Special Summon this card. You can only activate each effect of "Serprize Spring Cobra" once per turn.

Serprize Shock Boa
EARTH - Level 3 - Reptile/Effect - 900/2000
If you control no monsters, or only Reptile monsters, and there is a face-up card in the Field Zone: You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard, but you cannot Summon monsters for the rest of the turn, except Reptile monsters. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can target 1 monster your opponent controls: Negate that target's effects on the field, also it cannot be used as Material for a Summon. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, and all monsters you control (min. 1) are Reptile monsters: You can place this card face-up in your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. Once per turn, while this card is being treated as a Continuous Spell, you can Tribute 1 Reptile monster you control (Quick Effect): Special Summon this card. You can only activate each effect of "Serprize Shock Boa" once per turn.

Serprize Prank Prince
EARTH - Link-1 - Reptile/Link/Effect - 1000 - R
1 Reptile monster with an original Level
If this card is Link Summoned: You can activate 1 "Serprize Manor" directly from your Deck or Graveyard. If a "Serprize" monster is Tributed: You can Special Summon 1 "Serprize Token" (EARTH/Level 1/Reptile/ATK 800/DEF 0). If a "Serprize" monster(s) is Special Summoned from your Spell/Trap Zone: You can destroy 1 card on the field, and if you do; you can banish up to 3 cards from your opponent's Graveyard. You can only activate each effect of "Serprize Prank Prince" once per turn.

Serprize Trick!
Quick-Play Spell
If your opponent activates an effect by discarding a card: Negate that effect, then place 1 "Serprize" monster from your hand or Graveyard into your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. If your opponent activates a Quick Effect while this card is in your Graveyard, you can banish this card from your Graveyard to target a number of cards your opponent controls up to the number of "Serprize" monsters currently being treated as Continuous Spell Cards: Return that target(s) to their original owner's hand(s).

Serprize Cushion Python

If you control a face-up "Serprize" monster, and do not control "Serprize Cushion Python": You can Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can return all cards your opponent controls in this card's column to their hand. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, and all monster(s) you control (min. 1) are Reptile monsters: You can place this card in your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. Once per turn, while this card is being treated as a Continuous Spell, you can Tribute 1 face-up monster you control (Quick Effect): Special Summon this card. You can only activate each effect of "Serprize Cushion Python" once per turn.

Serprize Wire Garter
EARTH - Level 2 - Reptile/Tuner/Effect - 1000/0
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned, you can target 1 Special Summoned Effect monster your opponent controls: Reduce its ATK to 0; gain LP equal to half that lost ATK, then inflict 200 damage to your opponent. If this card is Tributed: You can Special Summon 1 "Serprize" monster from your Graveyard. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, and all monster(s) you control (min. 1) are Reptile monsters: You can place this card in your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. Once per turn, while this card is being treated as a Continuous Spell, you can Tribute 1 Reptile monster you control (Quick Effect): Special Summon this card. You can only activate each effect of "Serprize Wire Garter" once per turn.

Serprize Quip Queen
EARTH - Link-2 - Reptile/Link/Effect - 1500 - BL/R

If this card is Link Summoned: You can destroy a number of cards your opponent controls up to the number of "Serprize" cards in your Spell/Trap Zone. If a "Serprize" monster is Tributed: You can banish the monster your opponent controls with the lowest ATK. Once per turn, if your opponent activates a monster effect: You can place 1 "Serprize" monster from your Graveyard into your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell. You can only activate each effect of "Serprize Quip Queen" once per turn.

Serprize Setup
Normal Spell
Tribute 1 "Serprize" monster from your hand or field: Add 1 "Serprize" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Serprize Setup". If a "Serprize" monster is Tributed while this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; draw 1 card, then gain 200 LP for each card in your hand. You can only activate each effect of "Serprize Setup" once per turn.

Hilarious Serprize!!
Normal Trap
Tribute 1 "Serprize" monster you control and declare 1 Level, Rank, or Link Rating (you must specify which): Look at your opponent's Extra Deck; banish 1 revealed monster of the declared Level, Rank, or Link Rating, if possible. If you cannot, roll a six-sided die, and both players can Special Summon 1 monster from their hand or Deck whose Level is exactly equal to the result. You can only activate 1 "Hilarious Serprize!!" per turn.

Would really help if more members got involved, but suppose this being dead is to be expected given the small field here. Or probably lower the amount of cards members have to make (well, especially towards end when everything's already set up).

Tribute 1 "Serprize" monster you control; send up to 3 "Serprize" cards with different names from your Deck to the GY. If a "Serprize" monster is placed in your Spell/Trap Zone: You can banish this card from your GY; add 1 "Serprize" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Serprize Armory" once per turn.

Serprize Bucket Anaconda

If you Normal Summon a "Serprize" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Serprize" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck or that is currently banished to your hand, and if you do, neither player can add cards from their Deck to their hand by effects for the rest of the turn. If this card is sent to the GY and all monsters you control (min. 1) are Reptile monsters: You can place this card face-up in your Spell/Trap Zone as a Continuous Spell Card. While this card is being treated as a Continuous Spell, you can Tribute 1 Reptile monster you control (Quick Effect); Special Summon this card from your Spell/Trap Zone. Serprize Entertainment Emperor

While you control this Link Summoned card, your opponent can only Summon a number of monsters each turn up to the number of Spell/Trap Cards they have successfully activated that turn. Once per turn, if a "Serprize" monster has been Tributed this turn, and your opponent activates a card or effect (Quick Effect): You can negate the activation, and if you do, banish it. During your turn, you can Tribute 1 other "Serprize" monster you control (Quick Effect): Banish 1 card from your opponent's hand, then this card gains 100 ATK for each banished card, and 1 additional attack during each Battle Phase this turn if it is your turn. You can only activate this effect of "Serprize Entertainment Emperor" once per turn. If this card that points to a "Serprize" card is destroyed by your opponent's card: You can Special Summon 1 "Serprize" monster from your Extra Deck, except "Serprize Entertainment Emperor" (This can be treated as a Link or Synchro Summon).

Serprize Raze Lamia
EARTH - Level 7 - Reptile/Synchro/Effect - 2400/2500
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters
If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can Special Summon up to 2 "Serprize" monsters that are currently being treated as Continuous Spell Cards, then place an equal number of "Serprize" monsters from your hand or Graveyard in your Spell/Trap Zone as Continuous Spell Cards. If a "Serprize" monster you control is Tributed: You can destroy 1 card your opponent controls. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can shuffle any number of "Serprize" monsters with different names from your Graveyard into your Deck, then gain 500 LP for each.

New archetype: Liqueen!

This WATER Psychic archetype doesn't appear to do much on the surface, but with their classic-styled monsters and relatively simple backrow, they put a lot into very few plays in a turn. Their monsters get better when there's more of each other, and their Continuous backrow gets better when you have specific monsters on deck.

Liqueen Spoilt Princess
WATER - Level 1 - Psychic/Tuner/Effect - 0/0
If this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 non-Tuner "Liqueen" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only activate each of the following effects of "Liqueen Spoilt Princess" once per turn:
●If this card is Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Liqueen" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand.
●You can Tribute this card: Special Summon up to 1 "Liqueen" monster each from your hand and/or Graveyard, except "Liqueen Spoilt Princess".

Liqueen River Veria
WATER - Level 4 - Psychic/Effect - 1700/600
This card inflicts piercing battle damage. If this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can draw 1 card, then, if the drawn card was a "Liqueen" monster, you can Special Summon it. While you control another "Liqueen" monster, all monsters your opponent controls lose 500 ATK/DEF.

Liqueen Lake Kass
WATER - Level 3 - Psychic/Effect - 800/1600
If you Normal Summon a "Liqueen" monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. While this card is in face-up Defense Position, your opponent cannot target other "Liqueen" monsters you control for attacks or effects. While you control a "Liqueen" monster, except "Liqueen Lake Kass", this card can attack your opponent directly in Defense Position, using its ATK for damage calculation.

Liqueen Armament
Continuous Spell
"Liqueen" monsters you control gain 200 ATK for each face-up "Liqueen" monster you control. If a "Liqueen" monster you control destroys your opponent's monster by battle: You can add 1 "Liqueen" Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, if you control "Liqueen River Veria": You can negate the effects of 1 monster your opponent controls that is in the same column as a "Liqueen" monster you control, until your next Standby Phase.

Liqueen Politic
Continuous Trap
Once per turn, if your opponent Summons a monster: You can Special Summon 1 "Liqueen" monster from your Graveyard. Your opponent's cards destroyed by battle with or the effect of "Liqueen" monsters are banished, instead. Once per turn, if you control a face-up "Liqueen Lake Kass", you can target 1 card your opponent controls: Banish that target.

Liqueen Empress Veria

This card is treated as "Liqueen River Veria" on the field and in the Graveyard. "Liqueen" monsters you control cannot be destroyed by battle or your opponent's card effects. Once per turn, if you control another "Liqueen" monster (Quick Effect): You can reduce the ATK of 1 monster your opponent controls by 200 for each "Liqueen" monster you control, and if you do, this card gains ATK equal to that lost ATK.

Liqueen Empress Kass
WATER - Level 4 - Psychic/Synchro/Tuner/Effect - 1000/2000
1 Tuner + 1 non-Tuner WATER monster
This card is treated as "Liqueen Lake Kass" on the field and in the Graveyard. While this card is in face-up Defense Position, your opponent cannot activate effects in response to other cards or effects. This card can declare an attack while in Defense Position, using its DEF for damage calculation, and if it does so using this effect, you can, at the start of the Damage Step, increase this card's DEF by half the ATK of the attack target.

Liqueen Pond Rula
WATER - Level 3 - Psychic/Effect - 1400/1200
If this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Liqueen" monster from your Deck, except "Liqueen Pond Rula", but if you do so using this effect, you cannot Summon monsters for the rest of the turn, except WATER monsters. Once per turn, if this card battles your opponent's monster and was not destroyed by the battle: You can send the opposing monster to the Graveyard, and if you do, this card gains ATK equal to half the sent monster's original ATK for this turn only, then this card gains 1 additional attack on a monster this turn. While you control another face-up "Liqueen" monster, your opponent takes all battle damage you would take from battles involving "Liqueen" monsters.

Liqueen Castle - Fountainia
Field Spell
"Liqueen" monsters you control gain 200 ATK/DEF times their Level. While you control a "Liqueen" monster and a Spell/Trap Card that names that monster, you gain a Normal Draw during your opponent's Draw Phase, and gain 1 Normal Summon as a Quick Effect during their Main Phase 1.

Liqueen Rules
Quick-Play Spell
Draw 1 card for each "Liqueen" monster you control with a different name, then shuffle back a number of cards from your hand into your Deck equal to the number of cards you drew -1. If you controlled "Liqueen Pond Rula" when this card is activated, and the number of cards in your hand is still less than the number of cards in your opponent's hand after this effect resolves, you can look at your opponent's hand and banish 1 card from it. You can only activate 1 "Liqueen Rules" per turn.
