Flash Flyer - SakuraRegarding HTML code
#1
If you guys have probably noticed while using Visual mode, you may notice that when your stuff renders, it prints out the HTML code and not applying it.

If this happens, try typing it in Source mode (click the rightmost button on the tool bar). This does mean you will need to type out the BB code manually (which sucks, but back in old YCM, this was how things had to go). So...I guess you get a bit of an idea.

I also checked this on my other site; same issue with the line breaks and other shit. Not sure when this started occurring (hopefully it has nothing to do with the templating and all) nor if this issue persists on other sites (ones that I'm not part of or run).

If this becomes a major issue (which I hope it does not), then other measures may be taken.

I am trying other themes.

From testing, a few of them do NOT render the random HTML (which is great), but the side effect is that thread content won't be shown to anyone who isn't admin. I have no idea why this is the case, though when things are dealt with, I'll certainly let you choose it.

(IDK, maybe they weren't designed for MyBB 1.8 or there's something else.)

Again, I apologize for the headaches the random code causes (seriously, I hate it too).

After a bit of testing on another forum, it seems that the random HTML that pops up is my fault since the new one doesn't have this issue.

Trying to figure out what I modified so I can undo the damage and get rid of the random HTML. Otherwise, I'll have to ask the server owner for assistance.

Leaving this as a note.

The member YCMaker is NOT the actual one, but rather just a test one for the server owner, Jon, to use in helping me figure out what the hell is going on with the HTML in the Full Editor.

Until then, please use Source Mode.

You can toggle it by clicking the far right button at the end of the toolbar. You will have to write the BBCode and stuff yourself though, but that's about it for the most part. (Site still works, but is just slightly less convenient due to the HTML)

I guess "reset to original" in the Default templates did the trick...

But yeah, the HTML and small box error should be fixed, and you shouldn't have this problem anymore. If this still comes up, then let me know immediately.

(Checked it on Sapphy w/out staff powers; no errors showing, so...)

My apologies for not knowing what happened that resulted in this mess.

My mood when I finally fix the problem.
