Considering that I left almost 4 months ago, I'm going to have to check on some of the cards in this list (and really the whole generics thread while I'm at it) that got added since then. Not that I remember all of the other ones anyway...

That in mind, may also want to remind everyone what TCG archetypes and generics we let in. (Or least transfer said list here from the club thread.)

Well, blame MyBB's 65,535 character thing (not much I can do about it until I have a talk with the guy who runs the server).

I took this from the YCM version of the club, not Neo. IDK if you added any new ones since I left, so yeah.

I know Tinkerer and the rest of AGM not on the Discord cannot see this, but...assuming that the rules have not changed.

Dragonmaid should be in after getting support from Draco, Nyx and myself
Fortune Fairy has support from Nyx and self right now. If we wish to consider it as the same with Ladies, then they're already in.

For the few who will see this, I would like to put a suspect test on the following generic cards, for banlist positioning:

The six Attribute "Mystics", due to being able to Deckthin and put 3 Level 4 Spellcasters in your Graveyard before starting your combo.

Summoner Watch
Equip Spell
Once per turn, you can discard 1 card: Add 1 monster from your Deck to your hand whose Level, Type, and Attribute are the same as the equipped monster's. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, you can target the equipped monster on the field; Special Summon 1 monster from your Graveyard whose Level, Type, and Attribute are the same as the target's, but its effects are negated.

Lunar Spike
Equip Spell
The equipped monster gains 300 ATK and DEF, also it cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. If the equipped monster would be targeted by a card's effect, you can destroy this card to negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it and inflict 300 damage to your opponent. During your Draw Phase, you can add this card from your Graveyard to your hand instead of drawing (you can only activate this effect of "Lunar Spike" once per turn).

Grimoire of Pain
Continuous Spell
Each player must pay 500 Life Points to activate a card or effect. If the effect that was activated negates a card or effect, that player pays an additional 1000 Life Points at the end of the Chain. If this card is destroyed, add 1 "Grimoire" Continuous Spell Card from your Deck to your hand, except "Grimoire of Pain".

Field Maintenance
Continuous Spell
A Field Spell Card you control is unaffected by your opponent's card effects. All monsters you control that have their ATK and/or DEF increased by a Field Spell Card gain 500 ATK and DEF. If you do not control a Field Spell Card, you can banish this card from your Graveyard: Activate 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck or Graveyard.

Park Field
Continuous Spell
Banish 1 Field Spell Card from your Graveyard: This card gains that card's name and effects. Monsters you control gain 500 ATK.

Dummy Field
Continuous Spell
Pay 1000 Life Points to reveal 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck: This card gains that card's name and effects. If this card is destroyed by your opponent's card or effect, you can activate a Spell Card from your hand or Deck with the name this card had on the field.

Metamorphing Powerstone
Continuous Spell
Once per turn, you can target 1 face-up card on the field with a Counter(s), place up to 2 Counters on it. The name of the Counters become the same as the name of the Counter(s) already on the card. If this card is sent to the Graveyard, you can remove 3 Counters of any kind on the field; Set this card.

Spite of Hand
Continuous Spell
Once per turn, you can shuffle 2 cards from your hand into your Deck, then add 1 card from your Deck to your hand. During your opponent's Draw Phase, you can declare 1 card Type (Monster, Spell, or Trap): Your opponent reveals the card they drew, and if the drawn card is of the declared Type, you can draw 1 card. During your End Phase, if you control a face-up Level 3 or lower Normal monster: You can draw 1 card. You can only control 1 "Spite of Hand".

Anti-Zone
Continuous Spell
Activate while there are no monsters on the field. Neither player can Summon or Set monsters. Unaffected by your other card effects. If a Spell/Trap Card or effect is activated, place 1 Limiter Counter on this card. If this card has 5 Limiter Counters on it: Destroy it, and take 2000 damage.

Blinding Shard
WATER - Level 1 - Aqua/Tuner/Effect - 300/0
If an attack is declared, or an effect is activated: You can discard this card to negate that attack or effect (you can only activate this effect of "Blinding Shard" once per turn). If this card is in your Graveyard, and you control at least 2 WATER monsters and no no non-WATER monsters: You can Special Summon this monster in face-up Defense Position. If you Synchro Summon using this monster as Material, you cannot Synchro Summon for the rest of the turn.

Phantom of Destiny
DARK - Level 10 - Zombie/Effect - 100/3000
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. You can Special Summon this monster from your hand if all monsters in your Graveyard (min. 5) are the same Level, Attribute, and/or Type: This monster becomes that Level/Attribute/Type. Once per turn, you can return 1 monster in either player's Graveyard to their Deck: This monster's name, Level, Type, Attribute, ATK, and DEF become the same as the returned monster's. If this monster is used as Material for the Summon of a Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz monster, or as Tribute for a Ritual Summon, you can shuffle both player's hands and Graveyards into their Decks, also both players draw 3 cards.

Turboburst Dragon
FIRE - Level 1 - Dragon/Tuner/Effect - 100/100
When this monster is used as Synchro Material, draw 1 card: If that card is a Monster Card, select and activate 1 of the following effects:
●Increase the ATK of the Synchro Summoned monster by the ATK of the monster drawn.
●Special Summon the drawn monster.

Phantom Virus Master
DARK - Level 2 - Fiend/Tuner/Effect - 1300/500
This monster can be treated as a non-Tuner monster for a Synchro Summon. If this monster is destroyed by battle, inflict 500 damage to your opponent's Life Points. If this monster is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon up to 2 "Phantom Virus Master" from your Deck. If this monster leaves the field but does not enter the Graveyard, you can add 1 DARK monster with 1000 or less DEF from your Deck to your hand.

Counter Magician
EARTH - Level 4 - Spellcaster/Effect - 1900/900
Once per turn, during either player's turn, you can place 1 Morph Counter on a card. Once per turn, you can declare a Counter name. All Morph Counters on the field become the name you declared.

Lord of the Underworld
DARK - Level 6 - Fiend/Effect - 2450/1600
Cannot be Special Summoned, except by the effect of "Lord of the Underworld". Cannot be destroyed or targeted by card effects, except the effects of LIGHT monsters. Once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Fiend or Zombie-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard. If this monster leaves the field, except by battle with your opponent's LIGHT monster: You can banish 2 cards from your hand or Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon this monster.

Chaoserpent
LIGHT - Level 4 - Reptile/Effect - 1700/1200
If this card is sent to the Graveyard, add 1 Level 4 or lower DARK monster from your Deck to your hand. If this card is banished, draw 2 cards. You can only activate each effect of "Chaoserpent" once per turn.

Magic Dealer
LIGHT - Level 6 - Spellcaster/Effect - 2400/1500
If you take damage: You can Special Summon this monster from your hand. If Summoned this way, increase this monster's ATK and DEF by the amount of damage you took. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: Add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic", "Rank-Down-Magic", or "Rank-Conversion-Magic" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.

Party Lord
DARK - Level 1 - Plant/Effect - ?/?
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Cannot be Special Summoned, except from your hand by Tributing 3 or more Level 1 Normal monsters you control, at least 1 of which having been on the field during all possible Phases of a turn (Draw, Standby, Main 1 and 2, Battle, and End). This monster is also always treated as FIRE, EARTH, WATER, and WIND-Attribute. Unaffected by your opponent's card effects. Negate the effects of all other cards on the field and in the Graveyard. This monster's original ATK and DEF are equal to the combined ATK and DEF of all Level 1 Normal monsters in the Graveyard.

Also, offhand, I recommend bumping Construct, Super Poly, and Terrortop to 2, and removing Ring of Destruction from the banlist altogether.

Heh. I remember making Summoner Watch intentionally abusable. I knew it'd fly under the radar, and we had a few really solid equip spell supports iirc. I knew it'd be an easy way to cheese some deck building challenges. XD

I didn't make the field spell supports, but I also remember them being really easy to abuse in those deck challenges.

Yeeeeah... Spite of Hand is completely bannable. Man, if it was in the real game, it'd facilitate every one of those "1-card FTK"-type decks. Even if we haven't really done enough to look for the FTKs in the AGM, I'm sure I could make one that would be super consistent using this. Not only that but we've also got cards that work when shuffled into the Deck, right? That'd mitigate its cost entirely.

I'm guessing Counter Magician and Metamorphing Powerstone are here because of a specific Counter-based interaction? I assume you have a specific one in mind (I recognize Counter Magician can basically throw negates around for free by declaring Cubic Counter, but that's the only interaction that comes to mind).

Most of the rest of these are various levels of absurd for very obvious reasons. I think I can understand all of them being straight-up banned except maybe Party Lord. Not sure how one can cheese him out easily enough for it to be viable (even if it basically wins the duel when summoned).

In regards to the Counter interaction, there is a Rank 12 that normally needs at least 5 of your turns to initiate a win condition (gaining Counters one at a time, needing 12 total, upon either using its OPT detach destruction effect or letting a turn end). Those two cards can vastly accelerate the process of getting 12 Counters on that monster.

As far as FTKs, to thank you for reminding me, Toon Cannon Soldier needs to die. Tribute burners were a mistake.
