1. General amount of respect the club actually got on YCM; you probably realized that only a handful of people even bothered with club threads (though this is due to our meta pool which isn't particularly different from the existing one barring lack of MR4 stuff)
I think you may have noticed this over time, though I should mention that it isn't by any fault of ours that the club/members didn't get any recognition for reviving what became a dead area. I should note that during my time as a CC mod, I'm sure grateful for it and did whatever I could to accommodate you in the section.
There was also the matter with member elitism, but this has been prevalent for a while and even outside CC. Not unique to YCM entirely, but there are those who want to design for fun and those who design for whatever metagame that exists at the time (and more often than not, you get the latter crowd rubbing the former the wrong way).
Show ContentPart 1B:
I'll be frank; I am well aware some of you guys dislike Black and co. because of his ideology about design, and I too don't agree with a lot of things he believes about design. Oh hell, he disliked moving the card games to Casual on the basis of "why are we promoting subpar design".
Before I formally retired, I did have to leave a memo telling him/Broken [as they were going to interim watch until Dova got confirmed] not to be assholes to you (and CC in general) as that's a good reason people left and DP regulars hated him. Whether or not either of them blew up about it after I quit is unknown [I suspect they did get petty over it, though I certainly do not care to know now, nor do I want to get you guys dragged into that.]
2. Site downtime.
You guys already know YCM has its bug issues, card maker is never going to be fixed and so forth. I was also told by Draco that both Neo and old both had loading problems or whatnot, so downtime is an issue.
While there are a few things you physically cannot do here that you are/were able to do on YCM, the place is going to be maintained for the long run. (Or in other words, we get a server admin who cares / will update; I just run this site and make the necessary changes; any backroom stuff is out of my hands.)
