Flash Flyer - Sakura+ Pimp My Card Game + (Card Evolution Game)
#1
Assuming no one changed the thread title (or deleted the game) since I quit YCM, yeah, this one is self-explanatory.

- You name a card (preferably TCG/OCG), though multiple ones are good for variety / options.
- Next person makes an upgrade to that card; usually with higher Level/Rank/Link Rating, stronger stats, stronger effects, etc [retrains keep the same stats/stuff], then names another card for next person to do.
- Rinse and repeat.

AGM specific cards are permitted, but please include at least 1 existing card for members who either don't know our format (or lack the time/patience to read through all the archetypes/series/generics we have). Also note that not everything's been transferred here.

While not strictly enforced, try to avoid asking for evolutions of cards that are currently on the banlist (or things that the community as a whole really doesn't think deserves an upgrade; see banlist stuff).

(In case the definition isn't really clear)

So yeah, let's start off with these...

1. Dark Magician Girl
2. Cyber Blader
3. Black Rose Dragon
4. Any Xyz of your choice.

Shadow Illusion Sorceress
DARK - Level 7 - Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect - 2600/2300
"Dark Magician Girl" + 1 Spellcaster monster
(This card on the field is treated as "Dark Magician Girl".)
While you control a face-up Spell/Trap Card with "Dark Magician" in its card text, you can Fusion Summon this card by Tributing appropriate Materials, but you can only Summon 1 "Shadow Illusion Sorceress" per turn this way. If this card is Fusion Summoned, or Special Summoned by its own effect: You can shuffle up to 6 Spell/Trap Cards from your Graveyard or Banished Zone into your Deck (min. 2), then destroy a number of cards your opponent controls up to half the number of shuffled cards (rounded down). This card gains 300 ATK/DEF for each card in your Graveyard that names "Dark Magician" or "Dark Magician Girl" in their card text. If you Normal or Special Summon "Dark Magician": You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard (You can only Summon 1 "Shadow Illusion Sorceress" this way per turn).

2. Chthonian Emperor Dragon
3. Swordsman of Revealing Light

Chthonian Divinity Dragon
Level 9 | FIRE | Dragon | Gemini | Effect
3000/2100
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or GY) by Tributing 1 "Chthonian Emperor Dragon" you control. This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the GY. While this card is a Normal Monster on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it become an Effect Monster with this effect.
● This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each, also if it attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step.

====
1. Any of the Signer Dragons or Duel Dragons except Stardust/RDA (and counterparts) and Dragonecros/Beelze. So Aki, Rua, Ruka and Crow can get an upgrade, and suppose Goodwin in the manga for Ascension (if you can even do it)

Splendid Black Rose Dragon
FIRE - Level 8 - Dragon/Synchro/Effect - 2800/2000
1 Tuner + 1 non-Tuner "Rose" Synchro monster
For this card's Synchro Summon, you can substitute 1 Plant monster with 1000 or less ATK for a Tuner. If this card is Synchro Summoned, or Special Summoned by its own effect: Destroy a number of cards on the field up to the number of Plant Tuners in your Graveyard with different names, and if you do, you can banish a number of cards from the field or Graveyard equal to the number of cards destroyed. You can only activate this effect of "Splendid Black Rose Dragon" once per turn. During the next Standby Phase after this card on the field is destroyed: You can Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. Once per turn, during your opponent's Main Phase 1, you can target 1 Special Summoned monster your opponent controls and banish 1 Plant monster from your Graveyard (Quick Effect): That target's ATK/DEF is halved, also its effects are negated and it cannot be Tributed or used as Material for a Summon.

Viable Materials that aren't just Black Rose or Moonlight Black Rose are Splendid Rose and Black Rose Maiden.

1. Sword Hunter
2. Swordsman of Revealing Light
3. Raidraptor - Rise Falcon [If you want to make an attack name version, along the lines of Ultimate Pound, its attack is Brave Claw Revolution]
4. Given that they're currently still in the TCG CaC tournament, Dinomist Rex.

3 Level 4 Winged Beast monsters
This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls once each. Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; the ATK of all monsters your opponent controls become half their current ATK, and if they do, this card gains 600 ATK for each monster they control. If this card in your possession is destroyed by an opponent's card and sent to your GY: You can Special Summon 1 "Raidraptor - Rise Falcon" from your Extra Deck, and if you do, attach this card to it as material.

CXyz Terawatt Chidori
WIND - Rank 5 - Thunder/Xyz/Effect - 2500/2100
3 Level 5 WIND monsters
If this card is Xyz Summoned: Return all Set cards your opponent controls to the bottom of their Deck. Once per turn, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up card your opponent controls (Quick Effect): Return it to the top of their Deck. If this card has "Lightning Chidori" as Xyz Material, it gains the following effect:
●If a card(s) is returned to your opponent's Deck: You can draw a number of cards equal to the number of cards returned, then return 1 card from your hand to the bottom of your Deck. You can only activate this effect of "CXyz Terawatt Chidori" once per turn.

Must be Synchro Summoned, or Special Summoned by its own effect. Your opponent cannot target or destroy this Synchro Summoned card with card effects. Once per turn: You can target any number of other cards you control; destroy those targets, and if you do, for each card destroyed, this card gains 1 additional attack during each Battle Phase this turn. If this card battles, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until the end of the Damage Step. Number C68: Inescapable Sky Prison
DARK - Rank 9 - Rock/Xyz/Effect - 2300/3000
3 Level 9 monsters
Gains 100 ATK/DEF for each card in the Graveyards. Cannot be destroyed or targeted by card effects while there are more cards in your opponent's Graveyard than yours. If this card destroys your opponent's monster by battle: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; send as many cards from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard as possible, equal to the number of monsters with different names on the field and in your opponent's Graveyard. While this card has "Number 68: Sanaphond the Sky Prison" attached as Xyz Material, it gains the following effect:
●Your opponent's cards and effects in the Graveyard are negated, also your opponent's effects that target a card(s) in the Graveyard are negated.

1. Sword Hunter
2. Swordsman of Revealing Light
3. Gilford the Legend
4. Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer

Kycoo the Spiritual Exorcist
Level 8 | DARK | Spellcaster | Effect
2800/1200
If 4 or more of your opponent's cards are banished, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). Your opponent cannot banish cards from the GYs. Once per turn: You can activate 1 of these effects.
● Target up to 2 monsters in the GY; banish them.
● Pay 1000 LP; shuffle all banished cards into the Decks, then inflict 300 damage to your opponent for each card shuffled into the Deck by this effect.

I guess you have a way to screw over Gren Maju FTK/OTK now if you have to.

1. Chaos Sorcerer
2. Judgment Dragon
3. Black Rose Dragon
4. Sword Breaker
5. Majespecter Unicorn - Kirin
6. Detonate Deleter

Pick 1 of the cards to make a stronger version of; all of them are from different generations. (I am not including stuff from Series 11 / SEVENS because not too much to work with, and Rush Duels are their own thing at this point.)

Cluster Explosive Deleter
DARK - Link-4 - Cyberse/Link/Effect - 2600 - L/BL/BR/R
2+ Cyberse monsters
Unaffected by monster effects, except Link monster effects. Twice per turn, if this card battles your opponent's monster, except a Link-4 or higher Link monster: You can destroy the opposing monster. Once per turn, you can Tribute 1 other monster (Quick Effect): Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. If this card destroys your opponent's card by its own effect, apply each of the following effects in sequence, depending on the number of times this card's effects have activated this turn.
●1+: Increase this card's ATK by 100.
●2: This card's maximum number of attacks per Battle Phase is increased by 1.
●3: Special Summon 1 Cyberse monster with 2500 or less original ATK from your Graveyard, but the Summoned monster cannot be used as Material for a Summon this turn.

Yes, if this card gets going, it might eventually get itself swinging 3-4 times in a turn. As unlikely as that is.

1. Sword Hunter.
2. Swordsman of Revealing Light.
3. Gilford the Legend.
4. Iron Chain Dragon.

I already did Sword Hunter evolutions a long time ago, so...let's try something else.

Gilford the Legend of Divine Blade
Level 12 | EARTH | Warrior | Effect
3900/3000
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 "Gilford the Legend" you control or from your GY. You can equip as many Equip Spells from your GY as possible to monsters you control. You can only use this effect of "Gilford the Legend of Divine Blade" once per turn. This card gains additional attacks per turn equal to the number of Equip Cards on the field. If a monster you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can destroy 1 Equip Card you control instead.

This card is basically 50% stronger in all aspects from the original, though..may also be a LOT easier to get out because you can dump the original in the GY too. Gotta think about that.

Cluster Rocket Warrior
LIGHT - Level 6 - Warrior/Effect - 2300/1900
If you Summon "Rocket Warrior" or "Rocket Hermos Cannon": You can Special Summon this card from your Graveyard (if it was there when that monster was Summoned) or hand (even if not). You can only Summon 1 "Cluster Rocket Warrior" per turn this way. Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, or targeted for your opponent's effects, during your turn, also you take no damage from battles involving this card during your turn. If a "Rocket Warrior" monster attacks: Increase this card's ATK by 300. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled: You can reduce the ATK of all monsters your opponent controls by 800.

The idea is, you use Rocket Warrior to weaken your opponent's strongest monster and boost this card's ATK by 300 first, then mindlessly fire on your opponent's entire board, growing increasingly strong and hopefully sweeping away everything.

1. Sword Hunter.
2. Allure Queen LV 7 (honestly you can just give her the DAD treatment if you don't want to involve the original)
3. Iron Chain Dragon.
4. Swordsman of Revealing Light.

I want to say Allure Queen already got an upgrade in VRAINS, but it's just another member not related to the LV scheme. So let's just make one.

Allure Queen LV10
Level 10 | DARK | Spellcaster | Effect
2100/2100
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by Tributing 1 "Allure Queen LV7" you control. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster your opponent controls; equip that target to this card (max. 1). If this card would be destroyed, the equipped monster is destroyed instead. While equipped with that monster, any battle damage you take from battles involving this card inflicts equal effect damage to your opponent.

Yeah, this would probably give you some excuse to run Level 7 on its own since going through the entire process sucks to hell. Honestly though, it's not really much different from Level 7's stealing effect, except you can use the equipped monster to protect against effect destruction too, also burning opponent.

====
1. Dark Lucius LV8 (same rules apply, I guess; you can go the DAD route or figure out something else)
2. Seiyaryu
3. Number 46: Dragluon
4. Hundred Eyes Dragon
5. Magician's Valkyria

At this point, trying to figure out what other cards could use an upgrade of sorts.

Lucius of the Fiend Sword
DARK - Level 8 - Fiend/Effect - 2800/900
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned (from your hand) by banishing 1 or more DARK monsters from your Graveyard whose total Levels exactly equal 8. While there are 3 or more cards in your opponent's Banished Zone, this card cannot be destroyed or targeted by card effects. If this card battles your opponent's monster, the opposing monster's effects are negated, and it is banished at the end of the Damage Step. You can only control 1 "Lucius of the Fiend Sword".

Dark Lucius is a mistake, and the only way to fix it was to DAD it. Didn't even really upgrade its signature battle effect, instead making it easier to use.

1. Sword Hunter.
2. Super-Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon (Maybe try to tie something with its effects into a more modern Batteryman playstyle? Something that doesn't eat up their all-too-necessary Normal Summon?)
3. Iron Chain Dragon.
4. Swordsman of Revealing Light.

Ultra-Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon Ampere
Level 8 | LIGHT | Thunder | Effect
2800/1000
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or GY) by banishing any number of "Batteryman" monsters (min. 3) from your hand and/or GY, except "Ultra-Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon Ampere". You can only Special Summon "Ultra-Electromagnetic Voltech Dragon Ampere" once per turn this way. Your other "Batteryman" monsters gain 400 ATK/DEF for each monster banished to Special Summon this card, also your opponent cannot target or destroy them with card effects. If you control this card that was Special Summoned by banishing 5 or more monsters, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during the Main Phase. This card is treated as a "Batteryman" card while on the field or in the GY.

I don't play Batteryman, but here's a bigger boss they can spit out if needed w/out wasting their NS. And for what it's worth, also Monarch stats so you could run search cards if you really have trouble getting to this or original (not like you want to).

Archfiend Poet - Helpoemer
DARK - Rank 5 - Fiend/Effect - 2000/1400
2 Level 5 Fiend monsters
This card gains 100 ATK for each card in your opponent's Graveyard. An Xyz Material detached from this card that was originally a monster is treated as having been destroyed by battle. While this card has Xyz Material, your opponent conducts their Normal Draw during their Battle Phase, instead of their Draw Phase. While "Helpoemer" is in your Graveyard, cards and effects cannot be activated from your opponent's Graveyard, and your opponent cannot Summon monsters from their Graveyard. Once per turn, if your opponent adds a card(s) from their Deck to their hand by a card's effect: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy a number of random cards in your opponent's hand equal to the number of cards your opponent added to their hand, then, for each monster destroyed this way, send 2 cards from the top of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard. You can only control 1 "Archfiend Poet - Helpoemer".

I already did Sword Hunter upgrades a long time ago, so unless you want me to repost old ideas, uh...

Des Volstgalph Magnus Dux
Level 10 | EARTH | Dragon | Effect
3000/2500
You can Special Summon this card (from your hand or GY) by Tributing 2 monsters you control, including a Level 5 or higher Dragon monster. If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the GY: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK or DEF, whichever is higher. Each time a Normal or Quick-Play Spell Card resolves, this card gains 300 ATK until the end of the next turn.

(Yeah, I got lazy and just slapped Latin for "grand duke" on the end, but it is fitting somewhat.)

Junk Warrior King
DARK - Level 8 - Warrior/Synchro/Effect - 2900/1800
1 "Synchron" Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Synchro monsters
This card's name is treated as "Junk Warrior" on the field. If this card is Synchro Summoned using "Junk Synchron" as Material, or declares an attack: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Junk" or "Synchron" monster from your Graveyard or Banished Zone in Defense Position. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled your opponent's monster: Increase this card's ATK by the combined ATK of all Level 5 or lower "Junk", "Synchron", and "Stardust" monsters you control. If a "Scrap-Iron" Trap Card is Set in your Spell/Trap Zone by its own effect: You can banish 1 face-up card on your opponent's field or in their Graveyard.

Annoying to Summon? A little. But, if you Summon this bad boy properly, you have a huge beatstick to work with, and if you're playing the Yusei way you have a few ways to get rid of your opponent's problem cards.

You can Tribute 1 Spellcaster monster you control; Special Summon this card from your hand or GY. During your Main Phase: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Sorceress of Faith" once per turn.

Have fun with this.

● You can discard this card; send all monsters your opponent controls to the GY with equal or less ATK than the Dragon monster with the highest ATK you control or in your GY, except "Dragonmaid Bermach".
● At the end of the Battle Phase: You can return this card to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower "Dragonmaid" monster from your hand.
